I sure hope he doesn’t have it, but if he does, and your patient, it can be managed.
My cat was diagnosed with feline diabetes and pancreatitis a few months back. She has to eat special food, and have insuline twice a day, but it’s pretty amazing the change in her health. It’s hard to stay on schedule, but once you get into the swing of things, it’s really not that bad. :)
